BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - Kok Boru3 The closing ceremony of the 1st World Nomad Games took place at the race track in Cholpon-Ata on September 14. The Games aimed to showcase history of nomadic nations, their traditions, lifestyles and culture.

The Games started on September 9. Twenty two teams and more than 430 athletes from 19 countries of the world participated in the Games. The competitions were held in 10 kinds of sports Alysh (belt wrestling), Alaman Baige (horse race across uneven terrain for a long distance), Jorgo Salysh (pacing race), Kazak Kurosh (Kazakh wrestling), Kok Boru (goat polo), Kunan Chabysh (3-year-old horse race), Kyrgyz Kurosh (Kyrgyz wrestling), Ordo (ankle bone shooting), Toguz Korgool (Kyrgyz logic table game), Er Enish (horse-mounted racing).

The team of Kyrgyzstan has won 55 medals, including 16 gold medals, 20 silver and 19 bronze medals. The team of Kazakhstan is on the second place with 28 medals, including 10 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze medals. The team of Turkmenistan is on the 3rd place with 3 gold and 3 bronze medals. The team of Tajikistan is on the 4th place with 1 gold and 3 bronze medals. Mongolia is on the 5th place with 1 silver and 6 bronze medals.
