We expect positive decision on nuclear fuel bank setup under IAEA aegis in Kazakhstan, Head of State

TANA. October 12. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "We expect a positive decision on establishing a nuclear fuel bank under the IAEA aegis in Kazakhstan," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said addressing the international conference "For a Nuclear Weapons Free World" in Astana.

"The idea of the nuclear weapons free world has nothing to do with the radiophobia. For six decades at a run the ominous shade of the military atom prevented to deservedly appraise and see colossal prospects of the global nuclear energy. But the fact remains, the world's hydrocarbon reserves are declining. Though renewable energy is promising but in the foreseeable future renewable energy resources will fail to give such volume of energy as to meet the needs of the growing development tempo of the global economy," Nursultan Nazarbayev stated.
