ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Five foreign ambassadors have presented credentials to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana this morning.

Today in Akorda Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait in Kazakhstan Tareq Abdullah Al-Faraj; Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States of America to Kazakhstan George Albert Krol; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kazakhstan Abdul Salik Khan; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria in Kazakhstan Vasil Petkov; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kazakhstan Ghurm bin Saeed Al Milhan presented their credentials to the President Nursultan Nazarbayev. In his speech, President congratulated the participants of the ceremony with the beginning of their diplomatic missions and expressed confidence that they will adequately perform the assigned tasks and further develop relations with our country. "You start to work in Kazakhstan in a challenging time as the situation in the world is becoming increasingly unstable. This period also has an impact on our country. In the face of new challenges and threats Kazakhstan needs to preserve internal stability, social cohesion and ensure its further development. Therefore, the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan has taken the initiative to hold early presidential elections. The proposal was unanimously supported by the citizens of the country. It was decided to hold the elections on April 26," said the President of Kazakhstan. Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the upcoming presidential elections will be a manifestation of the political maturity of the Kazakh society and its strong commitment to democratic values and the rule of law. "Kazakhstan intends to provide the most open and fair electoral process. Elections will give a powerful impetus to the stability of Kazakhstan. And this is the main condition for solving large-scale problems of modernizing the economy and society," he said. Kazakhstan's President stressed that our country is at a new historical stage of its development. In particular, Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the launch of five major institutional reforms which will help our country to join top 30 developed countries of the world. These reforms include the formation of professional and independent state apparatus, the rule of law, industrialization and economic growth based on diversification and unification of the nation of the future, as well as transparent and accountable government. He also recalled the importance for the further development of our country projects. According to Head of State, the program of infrastructure development Nurly Zhol aims at Kazakhstan's transformation into a business, transit and logistics hub of the Central Asian region. EXPO-2017 international exhibition in Astana will provide new opportunities for doing business in Kazakhstan. The new projects open up opportunities and prospects for deepening cooperation between Kazakhstan and other countries of the world, concluded President of Kazakhstan.
