ALMATY. January 31. KAZINFORM. On 23-25 February 2011 UNDP Regional Climate Risk Management Training Course for Central Asia will take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The aim of the Training Course is to contribute to the broader goal of building robust institutions to help societies prevent and deal with climate-related shocks by building the capacity of professionals to manage risks associated with climate variability and climate change in the context of sustainable development.

The Training Course introduces the climate risk management framework, discusses the configuration of climate risk in Central Asia and illustrates the application of risk management solutions on the ground and their integration into broader development processes, Kazinform refers to the UNDP's press service.
