Ukraine says may form grain pool involving Russia, Kazakhstan
LONDON. April 12. KAZINFORM Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan may join together in a so-called grain pool this year to coordinate crop sales and share export facilities, Ukraine's Deputy Economy Minister Valeriy Muntiyan said.
"Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan may set up a grain pool this year," Muntiyan, who is also Ukraine's representative at the Commonwealth of Independent States, told reporters today in the capital, Kiev, before a meeting between Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Kazinform refers to Bloomberg.
Russian Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik put forward plans in 2009 to share port facilities on the Black Sea.
