Two intellectual schools to be built in Almaty in 2010

ALMATY.  November 19. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ Almaty is the only region in the country where schools built under 100 schools, 100 hospitals  state program are put into service on schedule.

"The program provides for construction of four schools in Almaty. Today we have put into commission the third school in Aigerim micro-district. The fourth one will be opened in December in Turksib district. To date Almaty faces lack of schools for 15,500 students", representative of local akimat Zharas Sandybayev said.

According to him, two intellectual schools are planned to be erected in the city within the Presidential program "20 intellectual schools". Two more schools will be built at the expense of local budget.

The problem of old educational facilities built in 1936-1945 will be resolved too, Sandybayev noted.  The akimat plans to wreck such buildings and construct new ones.
