LYBAYEV AIDARKHAN TURLYBAIULY - a political figure, one of the leaders of Alash movement, lawyer.

Aidarkhan Turlybayev was born in Kokshetau, Akmola oblast. In 1987 he graduated from the Omsk Teacher's Seminary. During 1897-1902 he studied law at the Saint-Petersburg University. In 1902-2917 he worked at a lawyer's office in Omsk and as an attorney at law at the Chamber of Appeals.

In the years of revolution A. Turlybayev was actively involved in socio-political life of the nation.

In 1917 A. Turlybayev was among the organizers of the First All-Kazakh Congress for establishment of Alash Party and II All-Kazakh Congress for announcement of Alash autonomy. At the first congress he was elected a delegate from Akmola oblast to the All-Russian Kurultay and All-Russian Muslim Congress - Shura-i-Islam. He also took part in establishment of Akmola regional committee of Alash Party. In Semey he participated in organization of Alash regiment together with K. Gapbasov, M. Tynyshbayev, B. Mametov and was an activist of organization of Alash police.

On February 11, 1919 there was held a preliminary inter-departmental session on administrative and household structure of the Kazakh-Kirgiz nation. Representatives of the foreign offices and internal affairs ministries took part in it. Among the participants were Chairman of Alashorda A. Bokeikhanov and its members U. Tanashev and A. Turlybayev.

After establishment of the Soviet Power he worked as an attorney, advisor and lawyer.

In the 30s A. Turlybaiuly underwent Stalin's repressions and served a sentence in Solovki. In 1957 he was rehabilitated posthumously.
