Turkey capital's mayor travels to Kazakhstan
According to Anadolu Agency, a delegation from the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, led by Ankara Mayor Melih Gokcek, traveled to Kazakhstan on Friday to attend "Ankara Days".
The event takes place between June 24-27 in Astana to mark 20th anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan.
Various culture and art groups will attend the event.
Turkish team is comprised of more than 100 people including bureaucrats, artists, a folklore group, as well as journalists.
Gokcek will be received by Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov and Astana Governor Imangali Tasmagambetov on June 25.
Gokcek, who will also meet Kazakh and Turkish businessmen, is expected to be received by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
