Transit corridors development- key to global energy security, Kazakh PM

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "The Energy Charter Treaty plays an important role in fostering ties between the energy market players," Kazakh PM Karim Massimov said today addressing the Energy Charter conference in Astana.

"The Energy Charter plays a key role in managing the energy market and establishing ties between the market players. Consequently, the treaty has an important role in ensuring equal conditions for all participants of the production energy chain," he noted. He stressed that development of transit corridors is regarded today as a key to the global energy security. "The landlocked country that located in the heart of Eurasia considers it as a priority direction," he added.
