ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Lithuania is successively increasing and exceeded USD 1 billion, this has been said by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevičius.

In addition, he praised the work of the intergovernmental commission. Algirdas Butkevičius stressed that bilateral trade between our states is consecutively increasing. In 2014 mutual trade turnover exceeded USD 1 billion which is 75% of Lithuania's turnover with all countries of Central Asia. The head of the Lithuanian Government noted that it is the result of successful work of business representatives of both countries. "I want to thank the representatives of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, Lithuanian Business Association, and the Association for Export and Investment KAZNEX INVEST for their fruitful joint work," said Mr. Butkevičius. However, the Lithuanian Prime Minister added that the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries is far from exhausted.
