Tokyo reports 1,278 coronavirus cases, 2nd highest daily record

TOKYO. KAZINFORM - The Tokyo metropolitan government reported 1,278 new novel coronavirus infections on Tuesday, logging the second highest daily tally on record, officials said, Kyodo reports.

The figure exceeded the 1,000 mark for the first time since Thursday when the Japanese capital confirmed a record 1,337 cases.
