Swiss companies interested in investing in Kazakhstan, Didier Burkhalter

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakh Senate Speaker Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has met today with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Swiss Foreign Minister and President of the Confederation Didier Burkhalter in Astana.

Tokayev briefed the Swiss President on the country's political and economic reforms, the recent State-of-the-Nation Address of Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighting that the present document is of strategic importance amid the changing architecture of the global world order and intricate political situation in the light of sanctions standoff between Russia and the West. In his turn, Didier Burkhalter highly appreciated the new economic policy of Nursultan Nazarbayev and said that Swiss companies are interested in investing into economy of Kazakhstan. Highlighting strategic importance of Kazakhstan in ensuring stability and security on the Eurasian space, the Swiss President expressed confidence that Kazakhstan may play a key role in taking wise decisions in order to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. The Senate Speaker assured him, that Kazakhstan is ready to contribute to strengthening OSCE efficiency.
