Simurgh-Ethno-Fest Film Festival to take place in Kazakhstan

ALMATY. May 2. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's Cinema Foundation and Union of Cinematographers prepare a large-scale cultural project, the 1st international festival of ethnographic films of CIS countries Simurgh-Ethno-Fest to be held May 18-22 in Astana and Almaty.

It will also enjoy the participation of Central Asian and Turkic-speaking countries cinematographers. It is purposed to search and feature bright ethnographic and anthropologic films of CIS member countries, new names and approaches. It will bridge cultures, let deepen and improve cooperation, contribute to understanding, respect and creation of cultural wealth of the nations.
