Serik Sapiyev wins boxing gold for Kazakhstan

LONDON. August 12. KAZINFORM Capital of Kazakhstan's national team Serik Sapiyev won gold medal in boxing after a breathtaking final at the 2012 Summer Olympiad in London.

In the final bout Serik faced 21-year-old Great Britain's favorite Freddie Evans, experience in the blue corner vs. youth in the red corner. And experience triumphed on the last day of the Olympics. Kazakh boxer Sapiyev dominated the battle.

This is the seventh gold medal for Kazakhstan at this Olympiad.
