Senate committee considers bill on gambling

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today an enlarged meeting of the Senate Committee on economic policy, innovation and entrepreneurship development, has discussed in the first reading the draft law "On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on gambling business".

According to the press service of the Senate, the bill is developed to further improve the legislation in the field of gambling and address gaps and conflicts. The document provides for amendments and additions to the Code of Civil Procedure of the Republic of Kazakhstan in determining the order of proceedings for recognition of online casinos illegal. In addition, the bill regulates the procedure for storing gaming equipment and prohibits the location of gambling, betting or bookmaker offices in non-residential premises of residential buildings.
