SCO Summit of Heads of State expected to adopt 2011-2016 antidrug strategy

ASTANA. April 29. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "It is planned to adopt an antidrug strategy for 2011-2016 at the forthcoming Summit of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, set for June 15 in Astana," said Presidential Aide- Secretary of Security Council of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin.

"The decision on development of the SCO antidrug strategy for the five years to come and its realization program could be regarded as an embodiment of the brand new level of confidence," he told making an official statement on the results of the VI meeting of secretaries of security councils of SCO member states in Astana.

According to him, at today's sitting the gathered listened to the reports on the preparation of these documents which are expected to be approved at the jubilee meeting of the Council of Heads of State of SCO member countries.

The session ended with signing of a protocol.
