SCO interior and public security ministers convened in Astana

ASTANA. April 28. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The 2nd meeting of the ministers of the interior and public security of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states under the chairmanship of Kazakh Interior Minister Kalmukhanbet Kassymov has started today its work in Astana.

Those attending are member of the State Council - Minister of Public Security of China Meng Jianzhu, Ministers of Internal Affairs of Russia Rashid Nurgaliyev, of Kyrgyzstan Zarylbek Ryssaliyev, of Uzbekistan Bahodir Matlyubov and Vice Minister of Tajikistan Said Dzhirakhunov.

The meeting will focus on a number of urgent issues the solution of which will give the SCO cooperation new substance.

The meeting will end with signing a protocol on comprehensive efforts aimed at development of cooperation between the SCO law enforcement agencies in crime fighting.
