Samruk Kazyna to build above 3.5 mln sq m of affordable housing by 2020

ASTANA. September 3. KAZINFORM "Samruk Kazyna National Welfare Fund will build above 3.5 mln square meters of affordable housing the countrywide by 2020 under the Affordable Housing 2020 Programme," managing director Darkhan Kaletayev said the Expert Club meeting.  

"The Fund plans to build 200 000 sq m of housing by 2013, 300 000 sq m by 2014, and 500 000 sq m annually starting from 2015 to 2020," he added.

Investments of the Fund or means of the republican budget will reach KZT 668.7 bln, private investments will make no less than KZT 300 bln. The first housing distribution will start in 2014.  

Implementation of the programme of leased housing with a purchase option will commence this year.
