Russian President congratulates Kazakhstan, other CIS countries on 66th victory in WWII

ASTANA. May 9. KAZINFORM President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev congratulated heads of state and people of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Abkhazia and South Ossetia and the people of Georgia on the 66th victory in the Great Patriotic War, the official site of the Russian President reads.

"The war took tens of millions of lives, ruined many fates. It is impossible to pay the debt we all owe to our veterans,and our sacred duty is to enshrine the memory, protect great traditions of friendship and unity of our nations," the message addressed to Nursultan Nazarbayev reads. "I am confident the Russia-Kazakh ties based on solid foundation of unity and strategic partnership will grow stronger and advance further for the benefit of our people, and maintenance of peace and harmony in the Eurasian space."
