Russia to build bridge over Volga to link Astrakhan and Atyrau rgns

ASTRAKHAN. KAZINFORM "Russia is ready to build a bridge over the Volga River for the renovated Atyrau-Astrakhan highway," governor of the Astrakhan oblast Alexander Zhilkin told at a meeting with Kazakh Ambassador to Russia Marat Tazhin.
"The decision on a reconstruction of the road linking the Astrakhan and Atyrau regions outlined in the Kazakh President's Address to the Nation is of great importance for us. Reconstruction works will start next year. We will build a bridge and realize this project despite all difficulties," he added.
