ASTANA. February 15. KAZINFORM. Today in Astana Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan Askar Shakirov has met with UNICEF Country Representative Hanaa Singer to review the results of the study of the violence against children at the child care centres. The research is a part of the memo of cooperation in sphere of protection and promotion of rights of children in Kazakhstan, signed in 2010, the press service of the Ombudsman's Office reports.

The research methodology was elaborated by the UNICEF international expert on violence against women and children, Professor Robin Haarr. The research helps assess the character and prevalence rates of types of child abuse in the public boarding schools of Kazakhstan.
