Radiation situation in Kazakhstan is stable, Kazhydromet

ASTANA. April 6. KAZINFORM The information on the level of radiation in Kazakhstan is now available on-line at the Kazhydromet (Kazakhstan Hydrometeorological Service) website, Director of the Hydrometeorology Department of the Kazhydromet Bayan Sazanova announced on April 5.

According to Sazanova, there are 260 weather stations operating in the country, 81 of which measure the data of radiation dosimeters every three hours which are then uploaded on the website. The current radiation level in the country ranges between 0.07 and 0.20 Sv/h (sieverts per hour), while the maximum allowable level is 0.57 Sv/h, therefore the radiation situation in Kazakhstan is stable, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reports.
