Prospects for military coop are of mutual interest of Kazakhstan and Turkey - TR Minister of National Defence
During the meeting the parties had meaningful exchange of views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation including in the field of defense. Ambassador Zhanseit Tuymebayev informed about the achievements of Kazakhstan within the years of independence and ongoing reforms in the prism of the main provisions of "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy.
The sides also discussed the forthcoming official visit of the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov to Turkey scheduled for September 24-25 the current year.
In accordance with the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of military education dated 23 February 1993, the successful partnership in training of Kazakhstan personnel in military educational institutions in Turkey is ongoing.
Defense Minister of Turkey Ismet Yilmaz noted the active development of the Kazakh Armed Forces and assured that the prospects of collaboration between the two countries in the military sphere will always be in the mutual interest of Kazakhstan and Turkey.
