Problem of drinking water supply needs immediate solution - Sagintayev

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM 16 percent of Kazakhstan's water bodies are clean, the rest are polluted to various degrees, First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev stated during an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

"There is a lot of work to do. Now the issues of drinking water to a greater extent are under responsibility of the Ministry of Regional Development. I think we, the two ministries, have to work together," Sagintayev told Nurlan Kapparov, Minister of Environmental Protection.

"This is a very big problem that requires an immediate solution," Sagintayev concluded.
