President visited Aksu Thermal Power Plant within working trip to Pavlodar region
President of JSC 'Eurasian Energy Corporation' Abduazim Rustambayev reported to the Head of State on completion of an innovation project the company completed in the first half of the year - repair of the power unit № 2 with the capacity of 325 MW.
Besides, it was reported that the company had already started repair of the power unit № 6 with the same capacity. The reconstructed unit will be put into operation in December of 2013. The amount of investments required for the realization of the project is USD 265 mln.
Governor of the region Bakytzhan Sagintayev reported to the President on realization of the tasks set by the Head of State on the Kazakh content.
20 new enterprises established in Pavlodar produce products that have not been produced in the country before. It is production of wagons in the 'Kazakhstan Wagon Company', chlorine and caustic soda in JSC 'Caustic', etc.
Addressing the personnel of the plant N. Nazarbayev said: 'I'm not here for the first time. I remember this station very well. I remember the time when we were looking for investors.
The progress that has been made at the plant is great. Launching of the power unit is a special event for us. The fact that reconstruction of another unit is underway is really good. We hope that all 8 units will be reconstructed in the nearest future.
Your contribution to successful realization of the Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Program is true and big in terms of the scale of the work we do. In total, there are 144 projects included into the Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Program in Pavlodar,' the President said.
'You increase labor productivity, launch new facilities, build new schools and hospitals. We have increased the volume of production by 12 times over 20 years. We create new economy. We work for our country to be successful and prosperous. It is what the people of our country need,' the President added with words of gratitude.
