President of Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium Magnesium Plant receives Labor Hero of Kazakhstan title

-KAMENOGORSK. December 22. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ President of "Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium Magnesium Plant" JSC Shayakhmetov Bagdat was awarded "Kazakhstan Enbek Eri" title (Labor Hero of Kazakhstan) - the highest state award for outstanding achievements in the economic development of Kazakhstan.

 Head of the state Nursultan Nazarbayev handed over the award to the Kazakh engineer at the ceremony of celebration of the Independence Day.

B.Shayakhmetov has worked at the Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium Magnesium Plant for 40 years. He passed all stages of his career growth here.

After complicated recessionary years and disarrangements in economic relationship the enterprise developed gradually. Big contracts signed later and international certification procedures led the plant rank among the biggest Kazakh enterprises of the world level.

To date the production of the Plant is up to 14% of the world titanium market. 17% out of them are used in the international aerospace sector.

The enterprise executes a unique project on construction of titanium ingots and alloys production plant. The total cost of the project is KZT 11.3 bln.

Kazakh-French joint enterprise, discussed during the visit of the French President to Kazakhstan is established as well.
