President of Kazakhstan expressed condolences on Yerkegali Rakhmadiev's death

ASTANA. April 9. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev sent a telegram of condolences to the family on the death of the famous composer, a prominent statesman and public figure Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev, the press service of Akorda informs.

The letter states that Yerkegali Rahmadiev has made an enormous contribution to the development of national music and culture. He was the author of well-known operas, songs and ballads, was the Minister of Culture, led the major institutions of art in our country and headed the Union of Composers.

Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev was bestowed supreme national awards.

"His work will not be forgotten, and the writings will always live together with our people," the telegram reads.
