Portuguese scuba divers find Swiss plane wreck

LONDON. October 26. KAZINFORM Portuguese divers have found the remains of a Swiss aircraft that sank off Porto Novo, Madeira, in December 1977.

The 'Super Caravelle' was making a second attempt to land at Santa Cruz Airport when it crashed into the sea after touching down on the runway, BBC News reports.

Only 21 of the 57 people on board the plane survived the accident.
