Poland invested $110 mln into Kazakhstan's economy over last decade

ASTANA. September 17. KAZINFORM On September 17, Astana hosted the fourth session of the Kazakh-Polish commission chaired by executive secretary of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Rapil Zhoshybayev and Vice PM - Minister for Economy of Poland Waldemar Pavlyak. 

The sides discussed the perspectives of further economic cooperation, according to the official spokesman of the Kazakh MFA Altai Abibullayev.

The final protocol signed by Kazakhstan and Poland outlines the priorities in the bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, construction, industrial sector, entrepreneurship, environmental protection, tourism, banking and finance, science and education.

"In 2011, the sales turnover between the two countries made 1.7 million US dollars. The volume of Poland's investments into Kazakhstani economy over the last decade exceeded 110 million US dollars," A. Abibullayev notes.

"The agreements signed between the two states are to promote further development of partnership," he adds.

"In addition, Poland made it public it supported Kazakhstan's bid to host EXPO-2017 in Astana," the Kazakh MFA's official spokesperson concludes.
