MINSK. June 18. KAZINFORM The photo exhibition "Kazakhstan: 20 Years of Peace and Creation" opened in the National Library of Belarus on 15 June. The exhibition consists of about 30 exhibits.


The exhibition displays the diversity of modern Kazakhstan, its industrial and agricultural progress and the diversity of the national culture which is backed by the government. Each nationality has an opportunity to promote its traditions, history and culture.

According to BelTA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov praised the current state of the Belarus-Kazakhstan cooperation, including the cooperation in culture. Culture promotes deeper understanding between the two nations.

The diplomat noted the importance of the recent official visit of Belarus' President Alexander Lukashenko to Kazakhstan and the agreements made during the talks with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

According to Anatoly Smirnov, the visit will give a strong impetus to the development of the Belarusian-Kazakh cooperation.
