ASTANA. September 11. KAZINFORM - According to the International Labor Organization, people with disabilities set up their own business twice more likely than people without disabilities, this has been reported today by Lyazzat Kaltayeva, the chairman of "Association of Women with Disabilities" called ''Shyrak ", at the public hearing on the project "Employment of Women with Disabilities: Overcoming Barriers to the development of entrepreneurship" in Astana.

The event was attended by representatives of the National Commission for Women, the Family and Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "Damu'' Entrepreneurship Development Fund" JSC, public organizations and individual entrepreneurs with disabilities.

It is noted that the project is being supported by "Damu'' and the program named "Strengthening civil society in Kazakhstan" which is being implemented by "Counterpart International" with the financial support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
