People to benefit from Zhanaozen development, Nazarbayev
B. Mukhamedzhanov reported on the current situation in the region noting that it was stable. He also mentioned that core socioeconomic indicators were growing, presidential press service informs.
The head of the region also touched upon the work done to develop the Mangystau region. In particular, a package plan on Zhanaozen development has been worked out and necessary funds have been allotted. President Nazarbayev, in his turn, emphasized the allotted funds should be implemented effectively. "People of the region should benefit from these funds and Zhanaozen development," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
The meeting also focused on the circumstances of the fire that occurred at the Kazakh gas processing plant. B. Mukhamedzhanov informed the Kazakh leader of what had been done by the investigation team and special commission on the spot.
Following results of the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev gave specific instructions to the akim and set a number of tasks.
