Parliament Senate delegation of Kazakhstan visited Romania

ASTANA. May 3. KAZINFORM - As part of the Kazakh-Romanian Parliamentary Cooperation development Kazakhstan delegation headed by Akhan Bizhanov, the Chairman of the Committee on Social and Cultural Development of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited Romania.

The Senators Akhan Bizhanov and Bakhtybay Chelpekov held bilateral meetings with Valeriu Stefan Zgonya, the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of Romania, Florin Constantinescu, the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament, the Deputy Prime Minister of Romania, Gabriel Oprea, the Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group "Romania - Kazakhstan" and Gruya Stojka, the Chairman of the Kazakh -Romanian Business Council and the president of the "Gramlet Group" company.

During the visit the Kazakh delegation took part in the round table called "Nursultan Nazarbayev's Address “Kazakhstan-2050” Strategy" and the G-Global initiative which was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Bucharest together with the Parliament of Romania. The meeting was attended by the two countries parliamentary delegations, government representatives, civil society and the business community of Romania, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps of Kazakhstan.

At the round table A.Bizhanov made a speech dedicated to the Address named "Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy” and the “G-Global” initiative.

In addition, meetings of the deputies were carried out in the Committee on Education, Science, Youth and Sport, the Committee on the economy of the Senate, and the Committee on Culture of the House of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament.
