GENEVA. KAZINFORM - A regular round of talks between the P5+1 - six international negotiators on Iran's nuclear program - and Tehran will be held in Geneva on Sunday.

A number of bilateral meetings between the P5+1 political directors will be held, and a plenary session with participation of the Iranian delegation is scheduled for the evening. The negotiating round is expected to continue February 23. The Russian delegation is led by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov. The P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - the United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, and France plus Germany) and Tehran have agreed to extend the deadline for an agreement in the talks on Iran's nuclear program to June 30, TASS informs. Iran says it needs nuclear power to generate electricity, but Western powers led by the United States claim Iran's eventual aim is to create nuclear weapons.
