Only UN should impose economic sanctions, Nazarbayev
ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Economic sanctions should be imposed by the United Nations," President Nursultan Nazarbayev said answering the questions of journalists after the meeting with Czech President Miloš Zeman at Akorda.
"We have debated not only terrorism issues in the Middle East, but also the Ukrainian crisis and sanctions standoff between Europe and Russia that helps none of the confronting parties. Generally such sanctions are imposed by the UN not by countries or a group of countries," the Kazakh Leader said.
As for bilateral relations, Nazarbayev noted that cooperation between the two nations develops well, for example Kazakhstan produces cars of Czech brands.
