Ombudsman of Kazakhstan meets with leaders of int’l organizations in Geneva

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Ombudsman of Kazakhstan Askar Shakirov has met with leaders of international organizations in Geneva, according to the press office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It was reported that Mr. Askar Shakirov has held talks with the leadership of the International Organization for Migration, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. There have been discussed the issues of improving human rights mechanisms; human rights in the face of opposition by international humanitarian and economic challenges; issues of migration and refugees; global and regional human rights cooperation.
