In 1929, the North Kazakhstan Radio made the first broadcast. Nowadays, using the satellite communications of Katelco company, the regional radio programs are received in all districts of the region, as well as in the neighboring regions of Russia.

In 1995, the Diabetes Association was founded in Kazakhstan. In 1996, it joined the International Diabetes Federation with over 176 participating countries.

In 1999, the Atomic Energy Committee of the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Trade was established by the Decree of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev (the Committee was reorganized into the Atomic Energy Committee of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in accordance with the Kazakh Government Order dd. January 25, 2001).

In 2005, the Kazakh Statistics Agency issued research work "The People of Kazakhstan: Current Population in the Republic of Kazakhstan". The publication reflects the main stages of the demographic development of Kazakhstan, specific figures, and demographic situation trends in the country in the 1990s.

In 2009, within the celebrations of the 75th Anniversary of the Al-Farabi KazNU University, Chancellor Bakytzhan Zhumagulov awarded President Nursultan Nazarbayev with KazNU No.1 gold medal.

In 2010, the new Ski Jumping Complex in Kazakhstan, which hosted the Ski Jumping Continental Cup, was named as the best in the world, according to the results of the annual survey carried out by the International Ski Federation.

In 2010, Kazakh coin "Tiger" won "The Most Beautiful Coin" and "The Most Technologically Advanced Coin" awards at a special competition at the 26th Mint Directors Conference in Canberra, Australia. The 38.61mm coin was made of sterling silver with two 1mm diamonds.

In 2011, the Head of State, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Emir of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. At the meeting, the presidents discussed the status and prospects for development of the bilateral cooperation. The talks also covered attraction of investment and implementation of "Abu Dhabi Plaza" project.

In 2012, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul took part in a flag-raising ceremony at the building of the Turkic Council Secretariat in Istanbul, Turkey. In his speech, the Head of Kazakhstan noted that the creation of the Turkic Council made it possible to bring together the Turkic-speaking countries of common intentions and common roots.

2013. The delegation of Malaysian parliamentarians headed by Tan Sri Abu Zahar bin Dato' Nika Ujang, the President of Dewan Negara (the upper house of the Parliament of Malaysia), paid the first official visit Kazakhstan. The sides discussed the current issues of the interparliamentary cooperation between Kazakhstan and Malaysia, as well as the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian collaboration.

In 2014, in New York, the Permanent Representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Togolese Republic to the United Nations, Kairat Abdrakhmanov and Kodjo Menan signed a joint communiqué on establishing the diplomatic relations between the two states.

In 2015, Jewellery Art exhibition dedicated to the 550th Anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate opened at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. All the decorations reflected the history of the Kazakh people and the development of the national culture over the centuries.

In 2015, at the Small Kurultai of Kazakhs in Samara, the First Deputy Chairman of the World Association of Kazakhs Talgat Mamashev read out the Decree of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on awarding "20th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan" medal to Toktarbay Dussenbayev, the President of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomy of the Kazakhs of Russia (Samara) and Yernazar Nuriyev, Head of "Murager" Moscow Kazakh Culture Association.

In 2016, Kazakhstan and China signed an updated Protocol on the creation of a permits system for international road transport. The document was signed following the results of the 10th Meeting of the Transport Cooperation Subcommittee of the Kazakh-Chinese Cooperation Committee held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, PRC.
