Nobel Laureate Prescott says, Kazakhstan is an industrious nation

ASTANA. May 22. KAZINFORM At today's panel session "Macroeconomic politics, macroeconomic framework tools and regulation" winner of the 2004 Nobel Prize in Economics Edward Prescott suggests transferring some part of oil revenues to the deposits of each Kazakhstanis.  

As eralier reported, this session is a part of the V Astana Economic Forum started today in Astana.

"It is vital to create a broad base of owners, for example to transfer some part of oil revenues to the deposits of each Kazakhstanis. It will let your people invest their capitals. I am sure it will help Kazakhstan achieve the heights as the US and other developed countries. I hope it will occur soon."

Besides, he added that Kazakhstanis should work more." Kazakhstan is an industrious nation. By the way, Europeans who work 30% less than Japanese and Australians created not really effective system," the Nobel Laureate said.
