No more mishaps with Kazakh anthem, say sport officials prior to London 2012

ASTANA. June 13. KAZINFORM "There will be no mishaps with the Kazakh anthem at the London Olympic Games, Chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Sport Affairs Talgat Yermegiyayev promised.

"There will be no such mishaps as the one we had in Kuwait. We can not repeat the same errors again. We are working together with the British Embassy on that problem. The Kazakh national anthem will be played in London," Mr. Yermegiyayev assured the journalists.

As was reported earlier, a spoof national anthem from the film Borat was used instead of the Kazakh national anthem at a medal ceremony in Kuwait.
