Nazarbayev proposes to develop CIS development concept

MINSK. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to develop a new concept of the CIS further development at today's Minsk Summit.

"I think we will take part in joint celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War as proposed by the Russian President . As we have decided here, Kazakhstan will assume the CIS chairmanship. I think we should consult and agree on a new concept of the CIS further development and elaborate the document for the 25th anniversary since the CIS establishment," the Kazakh Leader said. As earlier reported, the EurAsEC Interstate Council and Supreme Eurasian Economic Council are also to convene in Minsk today.
