"National Unity Doctrine: from theory to practice" conference held in Almaty

ALMATY. October 19. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ A scientific conference entitled "National Unity Doctrine: from theory to practice" has been held in Almaty today. The goal of the conference was to discuss the relevant issues and prospects of achievement of national unity of the Kazakhstan society.

The conference was attended by the representatives of scientific organizations, expert communities, state bodies, political parties and NGOs. The participants focused on various approaches to ensuring national unity in the country, especially, the directions and prospects of implementation of the National Unity Doctrine.

According to E. Poletaev, political scientist, "one of the major tools of implementation of the national politics is the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. The National Unity Doctrine is a system document and there is an Action Plan on its realization".

"In political science national unity in is a wide and a general notion which defines the results and consequences of an effective and constructive policy. Besides, it shows the state of harmonious relations of various national, social and political forces within one state. National unity is a basis of a society's conflict-free development", E. Poletaev said.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Centre for relevant researches 'Alternative'.
