KIEV. April 19. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has confirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to store the international law-enriched uranium bank in its territory. The Head of State said this addressing the Kiev Summit on Secure and Innovative Use of Nuclear Energy.

"Kazakhstan is the world's biggest uranium producer. We enjoy the significant scientific and research practice both in exploitation of reactors and exploratory studies in the sphere of experimental nuclear physics," the President said.

"All the nuclear facilities of Kazakhstan are safeguarded by the IAEA. Kazakhstan is ready to extend contributions to strengthening the non-proliferation regime in the context of the idea of creating the international low-enriched uranium bank under the IAEA aegis," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
