ash Orynbayev (1900-1938) was a state and public figure. He was born in Abay municipality of East-Kazakhstan Oblast.

He was graduated from Russian school in Semipalatinsk in 1914, high elementary academy in Zhaisan town in 1918, male gymnasium in Semipalatinsk in 1920 and attended the courses of the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission in Moscow in 1921.

In 1920-1923 he was in executive positions in Semipalatinsk Regional Executive Committee. In 1924-1925 he was a people's commissar of internal affairs of the KazSSR. In 1925-1927 he was a chairman of Akmolinsk Regional Executive Committee. In 1927-1929 he was a deputy people's commissar of the KazSSR working farm inspection. In 1930-1933 he was a people's commissar of finance. In 1933-1936 he was a chairman of South-Kazakhstan regional exectuvive committee. In 1936-1937 he was a chairman of Gurev (now Atyrau) district executive committee.

During his work as a financial commissar he repeatedly sent letters to the highest governmental bodies pointing out tight state of the Kazakh people who suffered from hunger caused by collectivization.

In 1937 he was repressed and shot down in 1938. In 1957 by the decision of Supreme Court of the USSR he was rehabilitated.
