More younger women getting breast cancer, Kazakh oncologist

ALMATY. KAZINFORM "Every year Kazakhstan reports another 4,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer," Almaty chief oncologist Dilyara Kaidarova announced at today's press conference.

"Unfortunately more younger women aged 28-35 are getting breast cancer that is one of the leading cancer killers among women in Kazakhstan," she added. As stated there, Kazakhstan is one of the few CIS countries to introduce free population screening procedures. "October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. Almaty will host an international conference EURAMA on October 9-10 to focus on breast diseases. It will bring together experts from Italy, Spain, Russia, Turkey, etc," she resumed.
