ASTANA. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nusultan Nazarbayev held a briefing to summ up the results of the 10th Asia-Europe Forum held in Milan and outcomes of his visit to the Kingdom of Belgium and Republic of Belarus.

The Kazakh Leader noted that the consequences of the global financial and economic crisis still have negative influence on the international markets, including Kazakhstan. The President also stressed that the visits he paid last months are aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation with various countries that have positive impact on strengthening of business ties and further development of Kazakhstan, the Akorda press service said. The Head of State drew attention to the importance of the document signed in Brussels on the completion of the talks on the draft agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation between Kazakhstan and EU and the document on completion of bilateral talks with the EU on Kazakhstan's WTO accession. Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted that Kazakhstan is the first and only Central Asian country to participate in the forum involving heads of state and government of 50 countries of the world. According to him, such forums afford opportunities to share views on urgent issues with heads of state. On the sidelines of the forum, the Kazakh President held talks with the leaders of Great Britain, Japan, Germany, China, South Korea, Hungary and Italy. "The meetings held are aimed at further deepening and broadening of cooperation and determining new paths for further development of cooperation," Nursultan Nazarbayev said. "Those meetings help raise the country's standing in the international arena, expand opportunities for attracting investments into Kazakhstan amid intricate global economic situation and create favorable attitude towards Kazakhstan. Many countries strive to invest in Kazakhstan that creates incentives for economic development, creating new workplaces and improving people's living standards," the President stressed.
