Malaysian PM highly appreciates Kazakh Leader's contribution to urgent issues debates

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has met today with visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in Astana.

The parties debated the key directions for widening bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, investment, industrial and innovation, cultural and humanitarian spheres, the Akorda press service said. They also shared views on urgent issues of the international agenda. The Kazakh Leader thanked the Malaysian PM for his visit and participation in the Astana Economic Forum. In his turn, Datuk Seri Najib Razak expressed gratitude to Nursultan Nazarbayev for the invitation not only to take part in the forum but also to pay an official visit. "Opening ceremony of the Astana Economic Forum made a great impression on me. The impressive attendance of the forum also proves the growing authority of the event. I would like to note your contribution to discussions focused on urgent international issues through such a forum," Datuk Seri Najib Razak said. The PM also noted the growing level of cooperation between the two nations in some spheres that positively influenced realization of agreements outlined previously. He stressed the importance of widening the existing opportunities in transport and logistics sphere to boost bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
