Magnitude 4.6 earthquake strikes near Almaty city

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the MPV scale has been recorded near the city of Almaty after midnight, Kazinform reports.

The quake’s epicenter was in the territory of China, 361km southeast of Almaty city.

The 4.6-magnitude earthquake hit at 12:31am Almaty time, at a depth of 5 km.
