DUBAI. KAZINFORM - Dubai's iconic sail-like hotel the Burj Al Arab has created a wedding package that will turn its helipad 212 meters in the sky into the site of a unique -- albeit windy -- wedding reception venue.

On the same site where Tiger Woods has teed off, and where tennis legends Roger Federer and Andre Agassi engaged in a friendly tennis match, couples looking for an alternative wedding venue can take their love to new heights by booking the luxury hotel's helipad. Add-on features with the wedding package include everything from a dramatic entrance aboard an Italian twin engine Augusta 109 aircraft -- or by terra firma in a Rolls Royce Phantom -- to accommodations, beauty, spa treatments and personal training sessions.

Couples can also develop a specially designed, bespoke wedding scent with a perfumer and take private lessons on etiquette and dance. The Burj Al Arab's Wedding in the Skies program starts at 200,000 AED (US$55,000). For thrill-seeking couples who want to take the term "taking a leap" to new heights, the CN Tower in Toronto offers a service in which couples can hang off the edge of the tallest building in Canada. Inaugurated last year, the EdgeWalk Wedding program suspends participants via a trolley and harness system 116 storeys above the ground.
