Leader of Trade Unions Federation Kusainov to run for president

ASTANA.KAZINFORM - Abelgazy Kusainov has filed an application for participation in the early elections of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this was reported by Central Elections Commission deputy chairman Vladimir Foos.

The Central Election Commission has registered Abelgazy Kusainov as a candidate. Abelgazy Kusainov was born in February 6, 1952 in a village of Mai Ozek, Karaganda region. He graduated from the Karaganda Polytechnic Institute, Russian Academy of Management. He served as the chairman of the State Committee on pricing and antimonopoly policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Karaganda region. He was elected deputy of the Senate of the Parliament, deputy chairman of the Senate. He was appointed chairman of the Roads Committee under the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, vice-Minister of Transport and Communications, Deputy Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade, chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, first vice-Minister of Transport and Communications. From October 2007 he served as executive secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since March 2009 - Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From January 2012 he held position of Mayor of Karaganda region. At the moment he chairs the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan. Abelgazy Kusainov was awarded Kurmet Order.
