Latvian President: Kazakhstan's role in the world is growing
"Your country is the main trade partner of Latvia in Central Asia. We see that the role of Kazakhstan in the world is increasing, " said Andris Berzins.
He stressed that Latvia invited to become a member of the Organization for Economic Development. According to the Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan, the trade turnover between our country and Latvia in 2012 amounted to 344.5 million U.S. dollars. The main products exported by Kazakhstan to the Republic of Latvia are petroleum products, cotton fiber, flax seeds, iron ingots for remelting. In turn, exports from Latvia are wood products, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, and fish products.
